ARCH (Advocacy, Relationship, and Coaching in High Schools)

1:1 Coach Relationship

Youth will begin a dedicated 1:1 relationship with a coach developing a graduation plan, building independent living skills, navigating job searches, and meeting basic needs and housing stability options.

GROUP EXPERIENCES with Peers

Group experiences create an opportunity for peer support, togetherness, and new opportunities for growth for any student in ARCH.

1:1 COACH RELATIONSHIP
You + Your Coach

Using a goal oriented approach, coaches engage students in school, weekly. The coach approach empowers students to lead where they need to grow. Measures of progress will look like a youth harnessing new skills and competencies, having a strong peer network and a plan for the next year of their life. Ultimately, success means you are on a clear path of growth, moving towards achieving goals you and your coach have identified together.

COHORT WITH PEERS
Group Curriculum Experiences

Education, community involvement and service, and therapeutic recreation are the three pillars of the coaching group experiences. Experiences also include an after-school program where coaches lead students through a semester-long life skills curriculum. Students participating in this curriculum may be eligible for incentives based on attendance and commitment.

Jo’s Journey to Hope

“When I first started out, I was an ambitious student who had huge dreams and goals but little resources. I had numerous difficulties as a teenager, such as homelessness and family member loss, but I made an effort to keep going. When I wanted to give up, Outreach and the people around me encouraged me to persevere so that I could get to where I am today. As a result, I was able to accomplish a lot more than I ever imagined.”
