Indianapolis Indians Charities to host graduation celebration for homeless youth

Outreach has been blessed with wonderful community partners and private donors over the years surrounding the graduation celebration for the youth in the ARCH program. The ARCH program is focused on bringing hope to homeless youth in 13 area Indianapolis high schools. In 2019, a new partnership started to form with the Indianapolis Indians Charities (IIC). IIC started a discussion with the team at Outreach on what it would look like to do more to help provide hope to homeless youth in the city. After several meetings and discussions, Outreach is excited to announce that the Indianapolis Indians Charities will host the ARCH graduation celebration on May 30, 2020 at beautiful Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis.

“We are beyond thrilled to partner with the Indianapolis Indians Charities this year in celebrating our graduating high school seniors. Our students work tirelessly throughout their high school career to overcome many obstacles and barriers beyond just the regular high school course work,” stated Danielle Pierson, Outreach ARCH Program Director. “Some have faced the unknown of what’s next. From where they will be sleeping at night, what they will eat when they get home, how they will care for a younger sibling, or even how they will support a sick or incarcerated parent. In spite of all these obstacles they have continued running toward this momentous achievement. What better way to celebrate their home run than at Victory Field!”

The Indianapolis Indians Charities will provide a suite with food and tickets for 125 to 150 Outreach graduation celebration guests. Along with hosting the celebration, the IIC will also be providing gifts of Indians apparel to the graduates.

“Indianapolis Indians Charities is excited to partner with Outreach, Inc., an organization who values and impacts youth development in the Circle City

on a daily basis,” said Jo Garcia, Community Outreach Manager for the

Indianapolis Indians. “We look forward to celebrating graduations of the many rising stars from Outreach, Inc. in the Elements Financial Club at Victory Field.”

In addition to hosting graduation, the Indianapolis Indians Charities will be donating ticket packages for games this summer for the youth and case managers of Outreach to cheer on the Indians. Cameron Mayhill,

Outreach Chief Development Officer said, “We are extremely blessed and thankful for the Indianapolis Indians Charities and their care for the city and the homeless youth whom we serve. We are really excited about our partnership!”
