December 4th-Jakobi

Jakobi is a single father to his two children, and he is currently staying with his mom. Back in October, he was connected with our Diversion program and worked with Bryan and Donita to mediate the conflict within Jakobi's household, which has led to positive changes in Jakobi and his mom's relationship. Jakobi then connected with more resources for employment coaching and fatherhood development.

Jakobi is currently searching for his own employment, so Bryan and Donita helped him learn how to start budgeting by giving him a $150 budget to go grocery shopping, so he can start contributing to his household, and he managed to stay under budget! This was a good life skill for him to see how can budget his food cost for the family. Independent Life Coaching is a vital part of the Diversion Program, and it has an impact on our young people's lives as they work towards their goals.

For the last 25 years, young adults like Jakobi are finding hope in unique ways in their journeys. Today, come alongside Outreach and give the gift of HOPE by becoming a monthly Faith, Hope, or Love partner. Throughout our 25 Days of Hope, a generous donor is matching the first $100,000 of one-time gifts, and this is a great way to double your impact. Now faith is confidence in what we HOPE for and assurance about what we do not see.
