I first got involved with Outreach as a volunteer in 2016. Since then, I have worked in different roles, and I now serve as our Director of Youth Services. Throughout my time at Outreach, I have walked alongside our youth, and I have seen young people come out of their shells and trust people again. So many of our youth and young adults have experienced trauma and have broken relationships which inhibit their openness to trusting others - how could it not? But when they show up day after day and experience a different atmosphere, a safe space to be themselves and be encouraged, they begin to open back up to experiencing trust again. That is hope moving mountains.
